What a pleasant experience from standing in the queue at 05h00 until we were done. The service was professional, helpful and graceful from start to finish. I would like to send a special Thanks to Dimpho Matlou with the love and patience she showed our 4year old. May she succeed in everything she does if you can treat a toddler with so much respect imagine how she would administer grown ups-Well Done!! The reception there at room 15, may you continue brightening the children and families days. Thank you to all at the Tand en mond clinic-God bless

Hi all! Here’s my account from 14 September 2026 for those who need info. NB NOTE: Because there is such a high demand, for those patients who need braces or crowns, you will have to speak to the doctors regarding the waiting list. It unfortunately is extensive and you will wait very very long. But follow up regularly with them, and perhaps you will get lucky. 1. Please note that the hospital operates from 6am-4pm Mondays to Thursdays. Fridays the doctors/professors are lecturing and will not be available to assist patients. 1.1The lines will be long when you arrive. Keep in mind, different patients will go to different departments, and every department can take a certain amount of patients. 2. Arrive WELL before 6 am if you need the following: - Fillings: the doctors take limited patients per day, usually only the first 11-12, so it’s best to arrive well before 5am (2:45-3:00) to ensure you are among those 11-12. - Tooth extractions: best to also arrive by at least 4:45/5am to ensure you get a place. They do help all the patients and stop receiving new patients by 13:00. You will have to be patient and wait your turn. The earlier you arrive the better. 3. New patients must open files first! All referrals or previous day/s appointments (meaning if you went previously and they couldn’t help) will have priority of they have given you STANDBY card. 4. All elderly/pensioner or medically vulnerable patients have priority over otherwise capable and healthy patients. 5. Please be patient with the students. It is a teaching hospital and they are still learning. Be kind and courteous towards them, and if there is a problem let them know ASAP - the student who injected me did so a little light handed, so I let her and the doctor know and the doctor administered the correct numbing dosage immediately. My experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful time! The staff are patient, kind, and understanding. I arrived at 5:00, did have to wait a while but I was assisted at 11:45, and by 12:30 I was finished! I was very lucky to have went on a Monday that was considered quiet, there were only about 30 patients ahead of me. Thank you all, and good luck future dentists! 🦷🪥

Wow — truly humbled and thankful for the wonderful staff, from security and reception, to file opening, x-rays, pay point, assistants, dentists, doctors, and everyone not mentioned by name. It is not only safe and clean, but also fast and gentle service where each patient truly matters. A very big thank you to all, especially Mr. Reception, Trudie, and Zinia du Plessis ♥️. You transformed my son’s fear into a non-stop conversation of praise for your kind hearts. With gratitude, Alisa and Charles

The overall experience was exceptional. I found the number and called the hospital for enquiries and I was assisted by Portia, who was very patient and attentive to my questions. I then went to the hospital for the 1st consultation and again, from the guy outside the Gazebo, to security, reception and registry, it was like I had been there before. After I was done at registry, I was told to go to counter B. The young ladies and a gentlemen there, gave same reception. I was handled by a lady, Dr Buthelezi, we even joked a little about sharing the surname.... The long short of it, the overall experience up to the Xray was just phenomenal - no exaggeration on that one. Sometimes one just longs for such warmth and service. There were no queues as I was there after 13h00. It was my 1st consultation and I was not aware of what to expect. I was advised to arrive early for the scheduled procedures.....Indeed 1st impressions do last and that was my lasting one.

I have been at the hospital 3 times including the day of my diagnosis. What amazingly professional staff. From the staff who assist when you enter to the cleaners, cashiers, nurses, Dr's and others. To a large degree, even private hospitals do not offer this kind of service. A truly remarkable team that has a singular culture of excellence. God's Blessings to all of you.
