We celebrated my brother's birthday at this beautiful restaurant. We ordered off the special menu where the meals are R200 pp, and it included a starter, main and dessert. The food was prepared very tasty. We didnt wait too long for our meals. The waiter kept the drinks flowing which was awesome. The service we got from our waiter was top notch. The manager was also friendly and hardworking. Great atmosphere. Very relaxed afternoon. Thank u for a lovely lunch.🍾

Really disappointed with our experience at Village Tables. The food was mid at best, and our waiter barely checked on us, he seemed far more focused on a larger party. We had to ask another staff member to call him over. My medium-rare steak arrived completely rare; honestly, the cow was still mooing. The brownie was so hard it needed a knife to cut through, and the ice cream tasted watered down. To top it all off, an automatic tip was added for a waiter who gave us very little service. Definitely not an experience I’d expect or want to repeat. This doesn't even deserve 1 star

I recently hosted my mom’s birthday at The Village Table and we opted for the 3 course special. The experience overall was a bit disappointing, especially given the location and potential of the restaurant. For starters, I had the calamari, which unfortunately had quite a heavy crumb coating that overpowered the dish. My steak was a bit overcooked and underwhelming in taste. Dessert (the malva pudding) tasted quite premixed, almost like it came from a box, rather than something freshly made. That said, the setting has a lot of potential. It’s a beautiful restaurant. I do feel the atmosphere and decor could lean more into the “village table” theme to create a warmer and more cohesive experience- at the moment, it feels slightly mismatched. Perhaps bring one ‘big village table’ in and give us the experience of community and fellowship. Overall, it wasn’t the experience I had hoped for such a special occasion, but I do think with a few adjustments, this place could really shine.

My hubby and I stopped by The Village Table to have lunch. We were seated immediately and given our menu's and time to decide. Our drinks arrived soon after we ordered and our starters which was delicious followed shortly after. Our mains and the dessert were also nice but the starters were my favorite. The 3 course special that they have is really affordable with nice options to choose from. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. It was a nice experience.

On arrival in uMhlanga, we went looking for a place to eat & came across the village table. What drew us to it was the ambiance & it being esthetically pleasing, relaxing & peaceful. The service was excellent. The food could get better....in terms of freshness. While sitting in the outside area, we got to see beautiful monkeys.....I love animals, so for me, this was a special treat. The restaurant manager chased them away as they have a potential to get out of hand, allegedly.... I love this restaurant, I wouldn't mind to pop in again.
