We began with calamari starters, carpaccio, and fresh salads, each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. For mains, the table was filled with gorgeous pizzas, a rich tagliatelle pescatore pasta, chicken liver pasta, melanzane and other vibrant vegetarian dishes. Every plate was crafted with care, and it was clear that quality ingredients and authentic Italian flair are at the heart of this restaurant. Dessert was the perfect finale: decadent chocolate cake and a classic tiramisu. A special mention must go to our waiter, Sbu. Celebrated my sister's 50th birthday. Food was good. My sister & BIL are vegetarian & complemented their dishes. However, the rest of us were not totally happy. The vibe was off for a Saturday night. Service from our waiter was exceptional.

Old Town Italy is a restaurant located conveniently in Umhlanga Ridge. It houses a wonderful restaurant with delicious pizzas, pastas and whatever else you can think of for lunch and dinner. However, the breakfast is not the tastiest. The staff are generally friendly, but some can be a bit more attentive. There are also many Italian soft drinks (San Pellegrino) and other products for sale. There is also a bakery which sells delectable pastries and desserts and a gelato stall! If you’re looking for a casual Italian meal in Umhlanga, Old Town Italy is well worth considering.
