We visited Grimaldis at Umhlanga for supper. Their aesthetics were very dreamy and flowy. There's also a great view from the outside seating. Our waiter was very helpful and on point. For drinks we ordered a five roses tea, Passion Fruit Mojito, and a passion fruit and lemonade. The drinks arrived soon and they were amazing. For starters we ordered Arancini della Casa, which are risotto balls with a Mozzarella centre and Napoli sauce. They whet our appetite and set the bar. For mains, we ordered the Linefish of the day, Tikka Piccante, which is an Italian-Indian fusion of chicken pasta and a Lamb Shank. The Pasta was okay, but had a seafood under-taste, which made it unappealing to my taste buds. The Line Fish was also okay, and got served with a side of Mediterranean vegetables. The Lamb Shank was 3 pieces of thick meat, that didn't get cooked properly, even though, it was requested to be well done. Most of the meat was the "fat" portion. All 3 portion sizes were smaller than expected. Overall, our experience was not satisfactory and did meet our expectations. We will likely not be visiting again.

I honestly had such an amazing experience! ❤️ The male waiters and the female manager were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, even helping to keep an eye on my baby while I enjoyed my meal. 🥹❤️ They were so kind, attentive and welcoming, and they even took such beautiful pictures of me — which I really appreciated! 📸✨ The service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was served beautifully and tasted incredible. It’s not every day you come across staff who make you feel this comfortable and cared for. Thank you so much to the whole team for making my experience so special. I’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️ Best birthday ever!!

I took my daughters for lunch to Grimaldi’s as they felt for Italian. Our server was excellent. He had a wide knowledge of how the different items on the specials board was made. Food arrived quickly and we didn’t need to wait too long. I really enjoyed the steak with risotto and a rich mushroom sauce. They girls enjoyed the pizza and pasta. Servings were large so we took most of our lunch home.

We went to Grimaldi’s for my birthday, and it was one of the best birthday dinners I’ve ever had. The food was excellent, and exceeded our expectations. Our waiter, Elvis, was outstanding—he took great care of us and made sure we were satisfied throughout the entire evening. The manager, Tim, was also on the floor checking on every table and ensuring everyone was having a great experience. Thank you to the entire Grimaldi’s team for making my birthday so special. We truly appreciated the exceptional service and wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely dinner at Grimaldi's. The staff were all friendly and so helpful. We got a serve or Arancini which was good but unfortunately cold. The pizza we got was hot and flavourful which we enjoyed. We also got a creme brulee and Creme Caramel which were smooth and delicious.
