I took my boyfriend to Butcher Boys Umhlanga for his birthday dinner and asked them to make the evening special. When we arrived at our table, it had been beautifully set up with candles and a lovely birthday card wishing him well. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening feel really special from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and everything was just perfect from start to finish. Thank you to the entire team for going the extra mile to make his birthday dinner so special and unforgettable. We truly appreciate the effort and care that went into making the evening memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Who said a work lunch had to be simple. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Directly opposite oceans and the pearls, definitely a goto franchise when you want a good steak but this one's location makes it one of the better steakhouse's around. Lunch menu is good value for money. Rump espetado R140. 200gram fillet R150 . Lunch deal is R220 for a glass of wine,beer or cooldrink with A starter ,I ordered the chicken livers with chorizo sausage, its a must try, I just asked the kitchen to add some garlic so the livers because sometimes depending on where you eat the chicken livers have a slightly awkward taste. For mains I went with the 200gram beef fillet. The beef espetado was beautifully presented, Excellent service from the waitress and our waiter. Please there is a notice to say any bill over R200 will be 10% gratuity so if you have an issue with that please inform your waiter before you order. The views, the sea breeze and good food makes this one of our favourite franchises.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our Saturday night visit to Butcher Boys Prime Steakhouse in Umhlanga was exceptional from start to finish. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, everything ran like clockwork. We were seated promptly, our food arrived without a long wait, and the service never missed a beat. A special mention has to go to Thulani, who looked after us throughout the evening. He was witty, genuinely friendly, incredibly polite, and clearly knows his trade. His recommendations were spot on, his attention to detail was outstanding, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our meal. The food was simply outstanding. Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It's easy to see why Butcher Boys has built such a strong reputation for consistently excellent steaks and quality dining. What impressed us most was how calm and professional the entire team remained on such a busy Saturday evening. The atmosphere was lively and buzzing, yet the service and quality never slipped for a moment. A fantastic dining experience in every respect. We'll definitely be back, and we'll be asking for Thulani again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for one of the best steakhouse experiences in Durban.

What an amazing evening my husband and I had at Butcher Boys celebrating his birthday. From the waiter to vibe and especially the amazing food. It was definitely a night for the books for 2026 🥰

We got the shisanyama platter and the tomahawk. Everything was pretty average. The pap and chakalaka was the best thing on the table followed by the veg. It was really warm in the restaurant hopefully they close the windows and put the aircons in the summer. Definitely a one and done restaurant for me.
